Chicago's MARAZENE will return to their hometown to headline Chicago Metal United on Sunday, June 17th at the Windy City's legendary Metro Cabaret.

As previously reported, Marazene have announced they will perform in Second Life ( www.SecondLife.com ), a Matrix-style social interactive virtual world, on Thursday, June 21st for U.S peak time audiences and and Friday, June 22nd for European peak time audiences.

Multi-Instrumentalist and Marazene co-founder DieTrich Thrall described the significance of the virtual performance as, "...the first of it's kind in this medium and the first for the metal genre and it puts us in the position of beating to the punch our peers in the metal community including innovators such as KISS, MARILYN MANSON, IRON MAIDEN, OZZY, ROB ZOMBIE, KORN, NIN, etc. Instead of following someone elses lead, Marazene was here first." He also further decribed Second Life for persons unfamiliar with the rapidly emerging platform as "The Matrix meets the Sims meets Warcraft."

Marazene self released their debut album, MachiNation, on 06.06.06 and completed two National tours with Megaforce Records MUSHROOMHEAD and Pure Records DEADSTAR ASSEMBLY as well as dozens of Midwestern regional tour dates in support, all under the banner '100% DIY'.

Marazene are currently set to co-headline the Resurrection Of Rock in Fort Dodge, IA on June 30th at the Larmar Ballroom.
