According to WSLS NBC, METALLICA have helped raise more than $61,000 for the Morgan Harrington Scholarship Fund at Virginia Tech.
The band gave the school permission to make and sell Enter Sandman shirts. It's a scholarship that will go to a Virginia Tech Carillon student for the first time this year.
Investigators are still searching for Morgan Harrington's killer. She was reported missing after a Metallica concert at John Paul Jones Arena in October 2009. On January 26, 2010, her body was found on an Albemarle County farm, turning a missing persons case into a homicide investigation.
The shirts are available online here and at the Virginia Tech Bookstore.
