New NIGHTWISH Album Yesterwynde To Receive Symphonic World Premiere By TAMPERE PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA
December 4, 2024, 2 weeks ago
Nightwish released their new album, Yesterwynde, back in September via Nuclear Blast. The band have announced that Yesterwynde will receive it's symphonic world premiere by the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra.
Says the band: "Yes, you heard it. Our newest album Yesterwynde will be performed as an orchestral version for a live audience. Composed by Tuomas Holopainen, Yesterwynde Orchestral, will have its world premiere at Tampere Hall, Finland in August 2025. Who's coming? The music will be performed in two concerts by the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra, the Tampere Opera Choir, and a children's choir. Tickets for the concerts will go on sale on Tuesday, December 10, at 9 AM."
Tuomas Holopainen adds: "Yesterwynde is a journey through the landscapes of memories, dreams, and longing. The album is full of stories about time – both elusive and ever-present. It is the most personal and multi-layered creation of my career so far, and I am profoundly grateful that it will receive such a special world premiere with the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra and a massive choir. In the studio, you can polish things endlessly, but live performance is always something unique."
Yesterwynde is available in a number of different vinyl variants, as a jewelcase, digipak, earbook and as part of a deluxe vinyl box set. Order the album here.
