Northern Storm Records mainman Rob Cranny passed away suddenly today (April 21st) in Hamilton, Ontario at the ago of 27. Rob was well known in the Southern Ontario metal scene with a serious yet fun-loving attitude as he forged ahead with heavy hopes and dreams. A post on his Facebook wall from a friends reads: "He was at every metal show I went to."

"The last time I saw him was a surreal situation," says BraveWords.com's President/CEO "Metal" Tim Henderson. "Hanging with ICED EARTH's Jon Schaffer in Frankfurt on the way home from Wacken to Toronto. We sat for a good half hour waiting for the plane at Frankfurt Airport talking about their new Dystopia album and the state of the biz. Rob was so insightful and full of metal knowledge. He talked the talk and walked the walk. This brother in arms will be sorely missed. RIP metalhead…"
