Thrash veterans OVERKILL have checked in with the following statement regarding the cancellation of their Febtuary 15th show in Huntington, NY on February 15th:

"We are terribly sorry that we had to cancel our performance last night (Friday, February 15th) at the Paramount Theatre in Huntington, New York, but let's put the rumors to rest, before speculation runs rampant. Blitz (vocals) was diagnosed with what is called 'walking pneumonia,' and was medically advised to not perform due to it potentially getting worse if he did. When the health risk is no longer an issue, he'll be ready to kick ass once again."

Overkill are gearing up for their first Scandinavia run in a long time, also including several dates in Finland where the band hasn't really toured in almost 30 years.

Commented the band: "Well the wait is over....we are finally coming to Finland to do our first tour in almost 30 years of touring thru Europe and we could not be more psyched! We have done the Tuska Festival twice before and the crowds there were always tremendous. We are really looking forward to the entire Scandinavian tour and will be pulling out a bunch of old tunes as well as the new! See ya on tour!“
