PRIMAL FEAR Guitarist Magnus Karlsson recently spoke with Solo Power Metal out of Argentina about his new solo album, Free Fall, and Primal Fear's next record Delivering The Black. An excerpt is available below:

Q: Besides working on your solo album, you are in the recording process of the next Primal Fear album. Tell us about this new record that you guys are about to release.

Magnus: "We are just done with the album and I’m so proud! I feel like a kid listening to a new IRON MAIDEN album in the '80s.(laughs). This is what I'm a fan of and it really came out as we wanted. It will come out in February next year I think."

Q: Several days ago it was confirmed that you are working on a second KISKE / SOMERVILLE album, in which you are not only the guitarist but also the producer. What can we expect from this album and what are the differences from the previous one?

Magnus: "I’m guitarist and songwriter. Mat Sinner is writing with me and he is the producer. We have some great songs already and it's quite symphonic this time, almost a little Nightwish vibe..."

A recent band update stated: "We've recorded 12 tracks including two epic songs, one guitar ballad, and nine crushing metal songs with all the trademarks you know and love to hear from Primal Fear."

Delivering The Black will feature a duet with LEAVES' EYES singer Liv Kristine. "'Born With A Broken Heart' is one of the fresh tracks on Primal Fear's upcoming album," says Liv. "You will love it!"
