RAVAGE Tour Journal Online
December 3, 2009, 14 years ago
RAVAGE vocalist Al Ravage has posted excerpts from his tour journal detailing the band's late-summer / fall US trek at the band's MySpace page.
Also included is a statement that recaps the band's year and details plans for 2010. The full statement is as follows and a link to the tour journal is below.
"Last night Ravage played our last live show of the year. It's been a good year for us, we signed with Metal Blade Records, finally released our album The End Of Tomorrow, appeared on two tribute albums - a tribute to WARLOCK and also a tribute to RUNNING WILD, and we completed our first full US tour. Although the tour was logisiticaly difficult, financially taxing and wrought with countless problems, it ended up being a good learning experience that ultimately allowed us to play shows and meet new friends and fans in 17 different states across the USA.We already have some shows planned for next year as we will be appearing at the MELIAH RAGE reunion show in February and we have already begun to plan a return to the southwest USA to make up some of the shows we missed and get to some areas we haven't been to before. We have been invited to play at Thrashmageddon 2 festival in Albuquerque, NM in May and we hope to add some more southwest appearances as well.
For now we are finishing up our video for the song 'Grapes Of Wrath', which should be revealed before year's end and we'll probably film another video fairly soon.
We're going to spend the next month or so writing and refining our new material which we will hopefully have the opportunity to record and release some time next year. So stay tuned!
I have posted exerpts from the tour journal I kept this summer, as well as some complimentary video clips. The first part of the journal and tour recap is now online at the Ravage blog. The next part will be posted in a week. The link is below. Until the next update, RAVAGE IN PEACE!!!"
