The Pulse Of Radio has issued the following report from Don Kaye:

VELVET REVOLVER has been on the road since mid-August with ALICE IN CHAINS and Velvet frontman Scott Weiland has nothing but praise for the reactivated Seattle stars:

"It's a pleasure to see them onstage again. They sound amazing. Their singer (William DuVall), it is eerie how much he sounds like Layne (Staley, late Alice In Chains vocalist), which actually I think is a good thing, because I think that their fans, after such a long time, really want to hear those songs, and want to hear them sang well. So it's been a great tour."

The Velvet Revolver / Alice In Chains tour stops on Thursday (September 20th) in Marysville, California and has dates booked through October.

Velvet Revolver is touring behind its recently released sophomore album, Libertad, which features the new single 'The Last Fight'.

Alice In Chains last toured in 1996 and was on a semi-permanent hiatus until reuniting last year, with William DuVall taking over on vocals.

The band has reportedly been working on its first new album in 12 years but little information has been made available.
