SAMMY HAGAR Says Last VAN HALEN Reunion Was “A Horrible End To A Great Story”
June 4, 2016, 8 years ago
In a new interview with Tucson.com, Sammy Hagar talks about his brief reunion with Van Halen from 2003-2005, which saw the release of a new compilation featuring three new songs with Hagar (“It's About Time," "Up for Breakfast," and "Learning to See” and a massive 2004 summer tour which grossed over $55 million. But things didn’t end well when the tour finished in Tuscon, AZ.
“I didn’t even take a shower. I didn’t even say goodbye to anybody," Hagar said. "I got to my airplane. I had a beautiful Mexican feast and a couple margaritas and went home. (And) I just sat there scratching my head; what a horrible ending to a great story.”
