Static Age Records reports:
Milwaukee's SLEEP SERAPIS SLEEP are making the trek to Oakland, CA to record their upcoming album, The Pariah's Vow, with Zach Ohren at Castle Ultimate Studios (ALL SHALL PERISH, AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK, THE GHOST INSIDE, etc.).
The record will be the band's Static Age Records debut and will have an umbrella theme of a witch hunt, encompassing topics like politics, religion, spirituality, etc.
Singer Mike Cattani commented, "We decided to write the album about witch hunts both in a literal and metaphorical sense. Just like the witch trials conducted in Salem in 1692 and the communist witch hunts of the 1950s, people today are being hunted down and cast out with no just cause. This album is written about the outcast's vow against the injustice of persecution."
The layout will be tied together with the theme by artwork contributed by Uzi Emperado (All Shall Perish, BLEEDING THROUGH, WINDS OF PLAGUE).
"This is the most organized we've ever been coming into the recording process of an album", Cattani added. "We put a lot of work into this album with a new writing core and we're really anxious to see what Zach can do with it. We're all big fans of his work."More on Sleep Serapis Sleep at this location.
