Vai recently checked in with the following update:
"Hey Folks, Steve here,
At least once every 1-2 years Billy Sheehan, Greg Bissonette, Brett Tuggle and myself get together for some Indian food. We made up the nucleus of the David Lee Roth Band on the Eat 'Em And Smile tour.
Those days hold some of my fondest memories and meeting, playing and touring with these guys in the past has been a treasured life experience. We had absolutely the best time anyone can have on a tour and we love getting together and reminiscing. Total nostalgic hernia in between the naan and curry. Whenever I’m with these guys it’s like a past family that is re-united. Unfortunately, Brett could not make this outing we had the other night but was toasted.
The power trio of the three of us in this photo was a dynamic force in the day and the energy level that came off the stage when we were in the zone was truly stuff that arena rock dreams are made of.
I’m so deeply grateful to have these guys in my life then and now.
Make the best of every situation and you will enjoy and be grateful for it when remembering your past in the future, even though it all only happens in the now. Enjoy."
