STRATOVARIUS’ Gerald Wilkes has issued the following message to the bands fans through their official website, www.stratovarius.com:

“To all our fans in Taiwan and South East Asia, We are very sorry that we had to make the decision to cancel all our shows after the tour in Japan. This is due to the spreading of the S.A.R.S. virus.

This decision was done after checking with the Finnish Foreign Ministry who gave the advice not to travel to certain areas as well as hearing about the threat of some airlines to cancel certain flights and not to transport people with the smallest symptoms.

Needless to say that we all feel very sorry about this situation, but "safety first". For sure we will reschedule the shows and are already discussing with our partners possible time periods.

Watch out for new dates! - Gerald Wilkes on behalf of Stratovarius.”
