Superjoint - originally known as Superjoint Ritual - released their latest and evidently their last album, Caught Up In The Gears Of Application, in November 2016. In a new interview with Rock Talks, guitarist Jimmy Bower revealed the band has called it quits.
Bower: "Superjoint's done, man. We don't wanna do it anymore. We got back together, did a new record and we toured for two or three years, and that's it. Philip (Anselmo / vocals) and Stephen (Taylor / bass) are focusing on The Illegals and I'm doing EyeHateGod."
Superjoint, launched in the early '90s by Bower and Anselmo, released three studio albums: Use Once and Destroy (2002), A Lethal Dose Of American Hatred, and Caught Up In The Gears of Application (2016).
Back in 2018, Superjoint released official video footage of the band performing "The Alcoholik", a track from the 2002 Superjoint Ritual album, Use Once And Destroy. The footage, courtesy of Housecore Records, was shot by Mike Holderbeast, Carolyn Babauta, Ed Holub, John Deal and Steven W Richardson in New Orleans, LA on the band's 2017 tour. Watch below:
