Germany's THE NEW BLACK have issued the following update:

We have a video - brand new and official! It's for our song 'Ballad Of Broken Angels'. It was premiered exclusively on March 5th at Last.fm, watch it below.

Looking cool, huh? Feel free to repost it! We dig the song, because it features the heavy stuff and a little blues/southern rock vibe. You never know what you'll with TNB, right? The clip was directed and edited by our own Fludid, bowler hat wearer extraordinaire, but what you see apart from the good lookin' dudes in the band (no stunt doubles!) are actual scenes from the movie. 'The movie?' we can hear you asking. 'What movie?' Well, here's the story...

The movie: 'Ballad Of Broken Angels' (or 'Boba', as we affectionately call it) was inspired by and written for an American road movie of the same title. Imagine a cross between Thelma & Louise and Kill Bill and you get it. With cool music. And it happened like this: Sometime last year the man behind 'Boba', screenwriter/producer Gary M. Lumpp, who is a movie and music freak (and overall cool dude) stumbled upon our site. Why and how...that's all lost in the mist of time by now. But he liked what he heard, we got in touch, we liked what he had in mind for the movie, he asked for a song, and we wrote one - in three weeks or so. That's how a little German band with no deal (at that point) ended up doing the title track for a movie to be filmed in the US. We think that's very cool, and we're pretty grateful. Plus we got a nice tune out of it.

Here are the details: Ballad Of Broken Angels is a feature film in development with the Ford Film Company. Based on screenwriter/producer Gary M. Lumpp's screenplay, Ballad is an action movie about two women - one's a thief, the other out for revenge - who are forced to work together when they cross paths with a vicious drug dealer in search of the Key To Happiness. Masiela Lusha, 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper, Mick Foley, and Suzi Lorraine are attached to star.
