According to Gear4music.com, a biopic of legendary drummer Keith Moon is being planned by his bandmate in THE WHO, Roger Daltrey.

There have been previous attempts to make a film about the drummer's life, but Daltrey told the Daily Star that he would be able to provide the inside track on Moon, who died at the age of 32.

"It needs to be written by someone who was there," said Daltrey. "I'd love to have the time to do it justice with the right writer."

He stated that he could come up with a workable script in six weeks if he was able to find a suitable writer.

Daltrey added that he may soon write his own autobiography.

Last month, The Who star told BBC 6 Music about another ambition he has – going into the recording studio with LED ZEPPELIN's electric guitarist Jimmy Page.
