NEURAXIS - Asylon

Long-running Montreal technical death master Neuraxis has seemingly used the critical and commercial momentum accrued with 2008's The Thin Line Between to create a record that plays to both of the group's strengths, technique and inspired song-writing. On that inspiration point, Neuraxis has re-appropriated much of the hunger that was apparent on 2005 catalogue highlight Trilaterial Progression, Asylon a record able to compete with both the established credentials of Neuraxis' Canadian compatriots as well as the exuberance and fortitude of the new guard. Asylon is an album that defies the conventional technical death trappings and results in a new declaration of purpose for Neuraxis, though it's not like this almost inhumanely consistent band needed it.
