The 19th installment of the annual, multi-day festival, within the confines of the Finnish capital. Always an intriguing mix of styles, from around the globe, as well as homegrown talent, Tuska 2016 was no exception, offering the adventurous metalhead, o purely curious, the chance to witness the Finnish debut of Delain, Swallow The Sun (in bright daylight!), Cain's Offering (featuring Timo Kotipelto and Jens Johansson, from Stratovarius, as well as original Sonata Arctica guitarist Jani Liimatainen),new sensation on the black/grind block, Mantar, the fashionable Lordi, Testament, Behemoth and Tobias Sammet's star-studded Avantasia (with guest vocalists Ronnie Atkins, Michael Kiske, Bob Catley, Jorn Lande).
