DEAD BY WEDNESDAY, featuring former GARGANTUA SOUL drummer Christian “Opus” Lawrence, have debuted new tracks from their recently released new album The Killing Project online at www.DeadByWednesday.com .
The group is now crisscrossing the US touring in support of the album, which was released through Eclipse Records and features a guest appearance by CANDIRIA frontman Carley Coma.
Opus checked in from the road with the following road report, “"So far so good. The tour has been a blast and people seem to dig our new release. We're driving from state to state playing to new faces and doing as much as we can to turn them on! Of course not eating, sleeping or showering is rough but you do what have to do to make it happen.”
The Killing Project is Dead By Wednesday's first studio album of all-new material since the debut Democracy Is Dead (Stillborn Records). The album is a hybrid version of metal that incorporates elements of punk and hardcore into a a musical loaded gun that confronts hard hitting topics like the war in the Middle East, religion and US foreign policy With politically charged lyrics. Using music a platform, Dead By Wednesdsy hopes to raise awareness among America’s youth about the need for a change in our foreign and domestic policies.
“We want to be clear,” explains Ceschi, one of the band’s two vocalists. “We are trying to get people to think for themselves and to not believe everything presented to us by the big media companies such as Fox News & CNN. It’s about getting them to really look at our government’s role in the majority of conflicts which have taken place over the last fifty years, to question their moral judgment, and to decide whether or not they agree with the path our nation has pursued.”Tour dates:
