Cameron Edney recently spoke with THE WILDHEARTS frontman Ginger for Inside Out. Following is an excerpt from the in-depth interview:

Inside Out: Over the years many artists have spoken out about how much they love your work, included there is Devin Townsend, the BACKYARD BABIES and more recently MÖTLEY CRÜE’s Nikki Sixx. Who have you been surprised to learn is a fan of you work?

Ginger: "It never stops being a surprise. I am happy to hear that anyone is a fan of my work, not just someone famous but as far as people go! It’s kind of weird, I live in New York and keep meeting people that have jobs as presidents at big companies and they’re big fans of the band. I don’t care if someone is famous or not, if someone gets the music, that’s the biggest compliment!"

Inside Out: Let’s go back to when you were still in THE QUIREBOYS, what comes to mind when you look back on those experiences?

Ginger: "I didn’t have a clue what I was doing to be honest! I was drinking so much that I never really took anything in! When you look at kids now, they are so sharp and are so aware of themselves, I was just a real fuck up! It’s no surprise that the band kicked me out; I would have done the same!"
