JON OLIVA'S PAIN drummer Christopher Kinder has put his drum kit up for auction in eBay. Following is the product description.
"A beautiful vintage set of Yamaha Maple Custom drums equipped with the May Internal Microphone System. This kit was used in the studio for the recording of the (3) Jon Oliva's Pain CDss by drummer Christopher Kinder. The kit is approximately 14 years old but has been treated like a fine piece of furniture. The sound of these drums is amazing and has only improved over the years just as fine wine ages to perfection over time. There are some minor blemishes due to normal wear and tear (see photos), but othewise this kit is in very good to excellent condition.The toms are (2) x 10 " (10" x 8" and 10" x 10"), (1) 12" x 10", (1) 14" x 12", and (1) 16" x 14". Bass drums are (2) 22" x 16". Please note that the secondary bass drum is a Yamaha drum but is NOT a maple custom shell. This drum was not a dummy drum and is equiped with the May mic system as well. The toms have also been retro-fitted with the YESS mounting system.
The mic system consists of Synheisser E-604's in all the toms and (2) Shure Beta 52's in the bass drums. The sheer power of internal microphones is unlike anything you have ever heard, especially in the toms. The ability to capture the tone, concussion and isolation makes this internal system one of a kind. Designed for both studio and live performances!
Set includeds 5 tom mounts and (2) double tom stands. No other stands or drum heads are included."
