BATTLELORE Check In From Finnish Fire Tour - "Sauna Beers And Vodka..."

BATTLELORE keyboardist Maria has posted a Finnish Fire tour blog online. An excerpt is available below.
"Hello, friends! The Finnish Fire Tour of 2008 has reached its seventh day, this one in Niort, France. And finally we managed to write something to all of you about this hell-of-a-trip! As most of you know, the start wasn’t that good since Kaisa had lost her voice almost completely - resulting in the cancelled show in Glauchau, Germany. It was a pity since Glauchau has been one of our favourite places to play shows - so we are planning to get back there as soon as possible to give everyone a chance to see Battlelore live! But, for some more detailed tour diary - here you are. Enjoy! For we have… A bit too much ;) I’ll add some photos later on."

Giessen, Hessenhalle Nov 13th:
"We arrived at Giessen with KORPIKLAANI guys after a whole day of travelling. The hall was huge, and as we were told, it was to be a stage for the German Idols-show the next day. Since it was the first day, we only looked around and hung out, played a show for an amazing German crowd, and drank some sauna-beers, Jägermeister (to keep the rest of us healthy, hehhe) and honey wine. Well, of course it turned into a huge first-day-of-the-tour-party with our fellow Finns from KIVIMETSÄN DRUIDI, FALCHION and Korpiklaani. This would definitely be an interesting tour!!"Glauchau, Alte Spinnerei Nov 14th:
"Well, this day didn’t start so well. Kaisa didn’t have a voice at all, so we had to cancel the show early on during the morning. We were all really disappointed, Kaisa most of all, since she really wanted to sing but couldn’t. We had no choice but to hang out by the merchandise desk and tell everyone how sorry we were - and we saw some really sad faces there. We talked about the situation and decided to come back to Glauchau asap, since this was a great place to play live shows. In the evening we drank some sauna-beers to soothe the disappointed feeling. The other bands played great shows and the audience loved them, so that cheered us up a bit :)"Prague, Retro Music Hall Nov 15th
"Ahh, Prague. We had really been waiting for this show ever since we visited Brno last year - the Czech audiences are crazy in the best possible way, and the venue was really nice and big! After we came back from the city tour, there were people already waiting outside the venue, so we knew it would be a great night - and it was. A full venue and a great show! We had a huge mosh pit as well! Afterwards some sauna-beers and vodka… A nice evening indeed."Go to this location for the complete blog.
