ARCH ENEMY vocalist Angela Gossow has issued the following update in the wake of the band's 20th anniverary show in Stockholm, Sweden on November 22nd.

"DISMEMBER - 20 years of pure death metal and still having Massive Killing Capacity! Congratulations and respect!!! Fuckin' love Dismember!

A little history of time for those who do not know:

There was CARNAGE (formed by Michael Amott and Johan Liiva) in 1988 - with Matti Kärki (vocals), David Blomqvist (guitar) and Fred Estby on drums. By the time Carnage released their one and only album Dark Recollections, Matti, David and Fred had already moved on to reform DISMEMBER.

Michael Amott joined CARCASS and later formed ARCH ENEMY and SPIRITUAL BEGGARS

Dismember have a long and impressive discography under their belt (Wikipedia is quite helpful to get an overview). Anybody who does not at least (!!!) own Like An Ever Flowing Stream should be.. well.. turning in their future Open Casket nonstop!

Obviously, Dismember went through several line up changes in their 20 year spanning career and actually had our one and only Sharlee D'Angelo on bass on the album Hate Campaign!

Long story short - they celebrated their anniversary with a killer show in Stockholm (sold out!), which featured all members and releases ever, in chronological order.

For the song 'Casket Garden' (from the album Massive Killing Capacity) all members came on stage - incl. Sharlee D'Angelo:

And this is 'Override Of The Overture' from Like An Ever Flowing Stream (you must own this album!)."

As previously reported, Thrashmall.com has posted a gallery of photos shot at Dismember's 20th Anniversary show in Stockholm, Sweden. Check out the gallery at this location.

The show was to feature Dismember's history in chronological order including performances from: Fred Estby (drums), David Blomqvist (guitar), Robert Sennebäck (vocals, bass, guitar), Matti Kärki (vocals), Richard Cabeza (bass), Magnus Sahlgren (guitar), Sharlee D'Angelo (bass), Martin Persson (guitar), Johan Bergebäck (bass), Tobias Cristiansson (bass), Thomas Daun (drums).

Further reports to follow.
