As previously reported, LOUDNESS drummer Munetaka Higuchi passed away on November 30th following a long battle with liver cancer. He was 49 years old. Ex-Loudness vocalist Michael Vescera, who was with the band from 1989 - 1991, has issued the following statement through BW&BK;:

"I’m very sorry to hear about Munetaka’s passing. My deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, fans and the guys in Loudness. I was fortunate enough to work with Munetaka for 3 plus years and it was an incredible time for me. He was a great musician and will be sorely missed. Rest in peace."
