SAMAEL - New Album Details Revealed

Nuclear Blast Records has issued the following update regarding Swiss metallers SAMAEL:
Samael are currently working on the follow-up to their 2007 release Solar Sou". Entitled Above, the upcoming album will see the band return to their roots after a 20-year-long career.
Frontman Vorph had the following to say: "Above is a metal album through and through. It embedded a lot of memorable influences: BATHORY, SLAYER, IRON MAIDEN... to name just a few bands that shaped the sound of Samael in the first place. It is like an enhanced version of the band's first 3 or 4 albums. Some might say the missing link between Ceremony Of Opposites and Passage".
Proof of these awesome predictions can be found in March 2009, when Above will be released via Nuclear Blast.
