Ex-X JAPAN / Ex-LOUDNESS Bassist TAIJI SAWADA Hospitalized

Japan's CLOUD NINE recently announced that their upcoming December 14th show in Tokyo would include former bassist Maru, who will be filling in for founding member / ex-X JAPAN / ex-LOUDNESS bassist Taiji Sawada. According to BW&BK;'s Japanese source, Sawada has been receiving treatment for "avascular necrosis of the femoral head", a complication following hip replacement. Initially told by doctors that he would need to use crutches for the rest of his life, Sawada was recovering and walking unaided, but on the morning of December 2nd he had trouble walking, fell and hurt his chest and throat. Sawada was hospitalized following the accident.
Far more shocking for the fans, Sawada's management revealed via his official blog that he has been suffering the after-effects of a stroke and epilepsy for years. He is unable to write or talk at the moment and is having some difficulty communicating.
