The Associated Press is reporting:

Bidders willing to pay at least $35 million are wanted as the Hard Rock Park in Myrtle Beach goes on the auction block.

According to documents in the park owners' bankruptcy case, the auction was opened to creditors and was scheduled for Monday morning at a New York law firm.

Results of the auction were not immediately available.

The $400 million, 55-acre park opened in April, with roller coasters based on Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" and the Eagles' "Life in the Fast Lane." The park filed for bankruptcy protection in September.

South Carolina's tourism director Chad Prosser told The Sun News of Myrtle Beach that potential bidders have toured the park, but he doesn't know whether any will be able to make the $35 million minimum bid.
