Dailyrecord.co.uk is reporting:

Rock made a welcome return to Scotland yesterday, when rockers AC/DC sold out their Hampden Park June 30 date in just 75 minutes.

The Australian band, formed by Scots-born brothers Angus and Malcolm Young and joined by Cliff Williams, Phil Rudd and English-born singer Brian Johnson, haven't played in the UK for nine years.

But Scots rockers proved the band haven't dimmed in popularity by snapping up tickets in just over an hour.

Earlier this year, rock fans were left disappointed after rumours that the band were set to play at T in the Park proved to be untrue.

After claims from a downmarket newspaper that the band would headline the festival, T in the Park boss Geoff Ellis said: "I can confirm that AC/DC will not be playing at T In The Park. We do not want AC/DC fans to buy a ticket for T In The Park under false pretences."

Fans then realised their only opportunity to see the band north of the border would be at the home of Scottish football in June.
