ANGER AS ART - Pre-Production On New Album Complete; New Song-Titles Revealed
December 21, 2008, 15 years ago
Vocalist/guitarist Steve Gaines from Los Angeles-based thrashers ANGER AS ART has issued the following update:
"Well, to say it has been busy would be an understatement. I looked on the MySpace page here, and realized that none of us had been on for a couple of weeks - that time of year when you blink and a month goes by. So, we apologize for that, but wanted to take the time to wish you all the best of the Holiday season, and a great new year. Normally we'd say something like may you achieve your goals, dreams come true, yada yada - this year, may you all keep your jobs and homes - and that means the same to anyone everywhere on this planet, evidently.Okay, enough of that - here is the progress report! Pre-production is complete! The framework of the next Anger As Art album is in place. In January we will be talking with different recording facilities, fine tuning the music, and should start tracking in the first week of February. We are still hoping for a late spring/early summer release through OSM Records, and barring any unforeseen obstacles (they never happen, right?) we should meet that goal. I cannot give you a working title for the album - there are a couple I like, but having the guys in the band read about it here before talking to them would be kinda bogus, so as such it is untitled right now. But I can give you the song titles. This is not a track listing, but rather the list on the studio wall as we put them together.
'Crush', 'Appease An Angry God', 'Master Becomes The Slave', 'Feels Like Blood', 'Disfigure', 'They All Fall Down', 'Live In Fear', 'New Breed Of Violence' and 'I Am Your Enemy'.
As the studio effort gets started we will be giving you updates regularly. In the meantime, I need to get rolling here. Gotta go finish up the shopping and do my part to keep the economy moving. Sorry for the fact that there will be no 'Festivus' show this year, but for a logical reason. New music will certainly stand on its own longer than on single concert set."
