DIR EN GREY's Video For 'Dozing Green' Voted As Top Video Of 2008 On MTV2's Headbangers Ball

The people have spoken! DIR EN GREY's video for 'Dozing Green', after more than five weeks in rotation on MTV2's Headbangers Ball, was voted by fans as the top video of 2008. Check it out below...
The video was directed by the band’s longtime director Hiroyuki Kondo and took two and a half months to create, from filming to post-production.
"We wanted to convey the repeated anguish and mistakes executed by people," explains vocalist Kaoru. "I thought it was awesome! We are confident that this will be the video that will represent us."Dir En Grey and The End Records would like to thank all the fans that voted and congratulate all the other bands that had videos in rotation as well. It's truly an honor to be in the company of bands like ALL THAT REMAINS, AVENGED SEVENFOLD, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD, DREAM THEATER and the twenty other bands that made the Top 25.
In other Dir En Grey news, the band will be unleashing its first-ever North American DVD release on February 3rd, 2009. The DVD, entitled A Knot Of, follows the band through three long mettle-testing years on the road, giving fans a window into Dir En Grey’s unique world. More information is available here.
Dir En Grey are confirmed to appear as direct support for MINDLESS SELF INDULGENCE on the Relentless Energy Drink Tour. They will be joining MSI on every date from January 13th in Belfast through January 30th in London.
