SKELETONWITCH Confirmed For Pitchfork’s Show No Mercy Showcase; Commence Writing New Record

Athens, Ohio-based thrashers SKELETONWITCH, are playing a handful of headlining dates in the New Year with blunted death metallers, CANNABIS CORPSE (featuring Land Phil of MUNICIPAL WASTE). The run of dates culminates in Brooklyn, NY where the bands will be joined by Brooklyn’s own ATAKKE for the second monthly instalment of Pitchfork’s Show No Mercy Showcase. Adding to the festivities will be special guest DJ Lev Weinstein of KRALLICE and BLOODY PANDA.
In further Skeletonwitch news, the band is in the process of writing the follow-up to 2007’s critically-hailed Beyond The Permafrost. The album is currently slotted for a late summer 2009 release on Prosthetic Records.
