Report: ROBERT PLANT Receives CBE In New Years Honors

The lead singer of rock legends LED ZEPPELIN, Worcestershire's ROBERT PLANT, has been recognised in the New Year Honours list.
Plant, who was born in West Bromwich in 1948, becomes a CBE.
Paralympic swimmer Sascha Kindred, of Credenhill, Herefordshire, who picked up two golds and a bronze in Beijing, has been appointed OBE.
The chairman of Advantage West Midlands, Nick Paul, from Malvern, Worcestershire, becomes a CBE.
The chairman of the regional development agency has been recognised for services to business.
Led Zeppelin split in 1980 and have reunited on rare occasions, leaving Plant to embark on a successful solo career.
His recent album with US singer Alison Krauss proved a commercial success and picked up Grammy nominations, including record of the year.
