BW&BK; has received the following press release:
The HDNet Concert series rings in the New Year tonight (January 4th) with BON JOVI - Live From Nokia Theatre In Times Square. The concert premieres will be shown at 8:00pm EST.
Bon Jovi was the first band to perform at the Nokia Theatre Times Square, celebrating the release of the Have A Nice Day album. The band's career has spanned more than twenty years with albums such as Slippery When Wet, New Jersey, and Crush. Have A Nice Day, the band's ninth studio album, topped the charts around the world, and gave the band its career-best first week sales of over 202,000 albums. Bon Jovi also became the first rock 'n roll band to have a number one hit on Billboard's Hot Country chart with the song, 'Who Says You Can't Go Home'. The song also won a Grammy Award for Best Country Collaboration With Vocals.
The band, helmed by charismatic lead singer, Jon Bon Jovi, also features guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, and drummer Tico Torres performing their hits 'You Give Love A Bad Name', 'Livin' On A Prayer', 'It's My Life' and 'Wanted Dead Or Alive' for a capacity crowd at the Nokia Theatre. While still a theatre setting, the Nokia delivers the feel of a club because of the multiple balconies that hug the stage, allowing more patrons close to the stage than at conventional theaters.
