Q: What is your favorite Hades memory?
A: "It's oh so bittersweet. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...Right off the top of my head, I'll have to say opening for ANTHRAX or MEGADETH at L'Amour in Brooklyn. Pacing and waiting in the darkness on stage as we are being introduced the curtain slowly coming up. You could hear the 2,000 kids screaming with anticipation. My hearts (as well as Dan's) about to explode. Then we break into the opening chord of The Leaders? Kids are headbanging, fists in the air, moshing...lights in my eyes. And then all of a sudden everythings alright. I'm home...what a great feeling. Another favorite memory was hearing Nightstalker on the radio in 1987 on a Saturday night out in NYC on 8th street. I felt like a rock star. My friends telling me, 'You're going to be Huge.'"
Q: What do you remember about the Boston show that is now out on DVD (Cruz Del Sur's Bootlegged in Boston 1988)?
A: "I remember this girl, a bus and...(laughs) I remember Joey D'Maio (MANOWAR) tellin' all the bands, 'Whatever you want-you got.' Full lights, sound...blah blah balah. Well that didn't happen for MELIAH RAGE, so we figured the same would happen to us. So any way, our sound guy Dave Reiser hacked into the soundboard and lights and for two songswe HAD full sound and lights all across the stage. Then Dave came face to face with Manowar's bodyguard-this 7ft. monster of a man. Who knows what happened next, but for at least a second we lit up the stage. Looking at the DVD, all you see is hair flying and fingers and hands moving up and down the fretboard. It looks like we had some fun that night."
