MEGADETH Drummer SHAWN DROVER Checks In From The Studio - Day 4

MEGADETH drummer Shawn Drover has issued the following update:
"Today (January 10th) will be day 4 at Vic's Garage and the recording of the new Megadeth record. I am on par with completing two drum tracks per day (six total as I write this) with songs seven & eight being next in line today. Sunday is our off day, so I can watch my Steelers win, on route to their inevitable Super Bowl Victory (Are you reading this, DD??!!!!), drink a few cold ones and just enjoy the day. Next week will be only a partial week of recording for us, as we all have appearances at the NAMM show at various times. I also have to drive up to L.A. on Monday for a killer photo shoot with Vic Firth drumsticks for future drum magazine ad's, posters, etc. There will be other drummers involved in this photo shoot, and though I won't name anybody at this point (in case they cannot make it, etc.) some of the names I am hearing are very cool. Regardless, I will enjoy this opportunity with seeing my Vic Firth artist rep, Marco Soccoli, who is a dear friend, and a fantastic human being. In going on my fifth year in Megadeth, I have been very fortunate to develop great relationships with all of my respective endorsers, so I always jump at the chance to see them when the opportunity arises."Be well and happy.

As previously reported, Drover and Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine have been confirmed to appear at NAMM 2009 in Anaheim, CA. Their schedules are as follows:
