HELIX mainman Brian Vollmer has issued the following update:

"In the next month I will going into 'A' Studios with the original line-up from our first EMI album No Rest For The Wicked for a one-off recording session where we’ll be laying down a version of AC/DC’s 'It’s A Long Way To The Top If You Wanna Rock And Roll'. Everyone will be there: Brent Doerner on guitar, Mike Uzilac on bass, and Greg “Fritz” Hinz on drums. The song will appear on an AC/DC tribute CD being released through Perris Records. Once again Gord Prior is producing. The song is being engineered by Aaron McMurray. Also guesting on the track will be THE MUDMEN and Steve Georgakopoulos, who played on the last two Helix CDs.

This week will be finalizing a deal with AOR Music of Germany for the next Helix CD, as yet untitled. We expect the CD to be finished by Fall 2009. We are looking forward to our impending relationship with Georg Siegl and his record company. Already we are talking about the possibility of returning to Germany to play."
