Back in November, Austrian black metal mongrels HELLSAW announced that they had finished the recordings of their new album, Cold.

The band check in with the following update: "During the early hours of the icy morning of January 23rd, we unveiled the cover artwork for our forthcoming album Cold, together with some new promo shots.

Check out more photos in the Cold album in our pics."

A previous update from the band reads: "Originally 12 tracks in length, the band wrote a special track ('Wounds') during the recording sessions and decided to include it on the album."

According to frontman Aries, “Cold contains some of the most complex and intense songs in the history of the band. We always place a lot of our beliefs and emotions in our music. Writing and recording this album was physically and emotionally draining, but having heard the final result, it was well worth it!”

Cold will be released in spring 2009 via Napalm Records. Further updates to follow.
