Portuguese metallers HEAVENWOOD were scheduled to play a very special gig on January 31st in their hometown Oporto at Porto Rio Rock Club – Barco Gandufe with other Portuguese acts, DEMON DAGGER and DECAY as special guests.

Due a fire on the superior deck of the boat where Porto Rio Rock Club is located, the gig has been cancelled.

However, this show will happen on Friday, February 13th (9 PM) at Maus Hábitos Club, Rua Passos Manuel, in front of Oporto Coliseum. Support acts remain.

Heavenwood recently inked a distribution deal with Nightmare Records for their latest album, Redemption. Redemption was mixed at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden with Jens Bogren (OPETH, SOILWORK, AMON AMARTH). The initial recording sessions for the CD took place at Ultrasound Studios with Daniel Cardoso and Ricardo Dias.

Heavenwood are currently working on the follow-up to Redemption. The band recently completed pre-production on the new song 'September Blood'.
