UFO Confirmed For Germany's Wacken Open Air Festival 2009

Legendary British rockers UFO are the latest act confirmed for the Wacken Open Air Festival 2009, which is scheduled to take place from July 30th - August 1st in Wacken, Germany.
Confirmed acts for the festival now include: AMON AMARTH, BORKNAGAR, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, CALLEJON, CATHEDRAL, DRAGONFORCE, EINHERJER, EPICA, GWAR, HAMMERFALL, HEAVEN AND HELL, IN EXTREMO, IN FLAMES, KAMPFAR, KINGDOM OF SORROW, KORPIKLAANI, LACUNA COIL, MACHINE HEAD, MOTÖRHEAD, NAPALM DEATH, NEVERMORE, AXEL RUDI PELL, SARKE, TESTAMENT, TRISTANIA, TURISAS, UFO, WALLS OF JERICHO, WHIPLASH.

UFO are busy with studio sessions in Germany recording their new album, due out later this year. The band recently announced that
bassist Pete Way has been dealing with a medical condition which affects his liver, and he's currently undergoing treatment to cure it. He is forced to take some time out from UFO until he is recovered.
