hot flashes news ep ahab

German doom metal act AHAB, featuring MIDNATTSOL guitarist Daniel Droste on guitar/vocals and ex-Midnattsol guitarist Christian Hector, have posted the song 'The Stream' on their official MySpace page for streaming. It is taken from their original 2005 demo EP, The Oath. Go to this location to check it out.

In other news, Ahab will play the Kulturwerkstatt in Paderborn, Germany on April 18th. More details will be revealed soon.

The band recently issued the following update:

"Ahoi Seamen,

The layout of the cover for the next Ahab album is finished! I'll reveal parts of the rest of the layout in the next months before the release. You can already see our new coat of arms above our myspace-profile. It's done by guitar player Chris.

Meanwhile, Cornelius and Stephan are working on the final bass parts for the next album and will record them this weekend. Afterwards Daniel is due to record 'the heart of Ahab': lead guitars and vocals. Be prepared for some very epic clean vocals. Cornelius, Stephan and Chris reported the typical Ahab voice of D.D. contains some few hints to WARNING and MY DYING BRIDE this time. Very sad and melancholic stuff! Of course the main vocals sound as you're used of Daniel. His trademark - the extreme deep growls - still send shivers down your spine! Looking forward to what my crew will produce!

This was the Captain speaking!"

Cheerio,

AHAB
