DIR EN GREY guitarist Die is featured in a new interview with BW&BK; scribe Carl Begai. An excerpt from the interview, featuring Die discussing the supposed language barrier facing the Japanese quintet when touring North America, is available below.

“The language barrier, when it comes down to everyday communication, we don’t really have any trouble with that except when there’s serious discussion with the tour crew or whatever. Then we need an interpreter. When it comes to the music, our vocalist Kyo writes all the lyrics, and whatever he wants to convey if of the utmost importance. Dir En Grey isn’t about trying to break into a market by writing an album in English. That will never happen with this band. With a little bit of research Kyo could write in any language if he wanted to, but it comes down to what he wants to say and how. What’s most important for us is that we’re now able to express everything we’ve been trying to convey to our listeners in America, Canada, Europe and all over the world.”
