BW&BK; has received the following press release:

OCEANO has lost band members, flipped vans and caused havoc everywhere they go. For all the bad luck that the band has persevered through, plenty of good has happened along the way. They were recently featured in the Washington Post Express, who deemed their massive heaviness "as disturbing as a tsunami" and in Revolver, who gave their April 7th debut, DEPTHS a 3.5 out of 5 after calling it "unsparing in its attack." They've also made a strong showing on the Sirius XM Liquid Metal charts, having been ranked at number 15 for the last few weeks with plenty of room to grow.

Another major positive happened today when the band was informed that they were the #1 "unsigned" death metal band on all of MySpace. Not only that, but Oceano charted at #5 on the hardcore charts and #12 on the metal charts.

As a band who's successes have been made possible with the support of their devoted MySpace following, this was a very sweet moment for the them. So much so that guitarist Andrew Mikhail had this to say to all of the band's friends on the site: "Thank you guys for your support, small stuff like this means a lot! We realize we're signed, i dont know why it says were unsigned but still awesome! Now lets show the world how we all do it!"

Oceano has unveiled a brand new track from their forthcoming debut release, Depths, on their MySpace page. 'A Mandatory Sacrifice' is a savagely growled number that takes you by the throat until the last bit of riffage hacks and slashes its way through your guttural core. Listen to this and two other songs from Depths here.

Oceano has added more dates to their relentless, non-stop touring schedule. In addition to their dates with the legendary VITAL REMAINS, "the heaviest, most pissed off deathcore band on the planet" will be playing alongside such bands as ENDWELL and THE MILES BETWEEN to celebrate the April 7th release of their debut cd, DEPTHS. They will also be playing a special one-off date at the Atticus Fest with EMMURE, TERROR, WINDS OF PLAGUE and many more.

Oceano's tour schedule can be found at this location.
