Long-running UK-based hard rockers BLACK WIDOW have issued the following update:

"There may be a possible guest appearance on vocals by Tony Martin on the new BLACK WIDOW album. The album's working title is Sleeping With Demons but it is not sure if it will be the title of the final product.

The voice that breathed new life into BLACK SABBATH from 1987 to 1991 and again from 1993 to 1997 was Tony Martin. Tony worked intensively alongside Tony Iommi, Cozy Powell, Geezer Butler, Neil Murray and many other legends. Other musicians he has worked with include Brian May, Laurie Cottle, Nigel Glockler, Mario Parga and Zac Starkey. Tony's voice has been featured on 26 albums and he has fronted six major world tours.

Tony now fronts his own band and his new album Book Of Shadows will be produced by Tom Galley. Tony himself mentions the album to be 'the best I've done.'

Tony has shown his interest to guest on the Black Widow album if there is a suitable song for him to sing. Nothing is confirmed yet but there is a serious contact and Tony has seen Black Widow's new concept story.

The new Black Widow album is mostly written by Clive Jones and Geoff Griffith and the keyboardist Paolo "Apollo" Negri (from an Italian hard rock band WICKED MINDS) adds his huge talents to Black Widow's music. One of the songs has lyrics written by Sylvie M. Durette.

Black Widow is also hoping to have its Isle Of Wight 1970 Festival performance released as a DVD one day because the archive Beat Club 1970 DVD release Demons Of The Night Gather To See (Mystic Records) has been a big success so there definitely is an audience."
