As has been reported, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT legends Joe and Albert Bouchard, plus good friend Dennis Dunaway, bassist in the classic ALICE COOPER lineup, will be hitting Hamilton, Toronto and Oshawa for three coveted shows in April.

At minimum, at the Toronto date (April 12th), Blue Öyster Cult biographer Martin Popoff is slated to have a cool BOC-related surprise in store, for sale and signing at the band's merch booth. For now, Joe, who will also have on hand his brand new solo CD, divulges a bit more about the trip.

"Oh, it's Bouchard's Outrageous Canadians - like 12 guys. I think they're doing Imaginos! All of it! (laughs). They're doing something. They might be doing half of Imaginos and half of Secret Treaties, I don't know. But they're like local musicians that are dedicated to playing Blue Öyster Cult music."

Er, really? But it's a bunch guys?

"Yeah, a bunch of guys. And, I don't know. well, Albert and I and Dennis have a whole show that we do, which is Blue Öyster Cult and Alice Cooper. And it's really good, and plus we do some things from BDS (Bouchard Dunaway Smith), and we do some things from Deadringer; we do some odd things in that show. We do like 'Black Juju'. It's a really great show. So you know, if there is some way that we can work it into something, with The Outrageous Canadians (laughs). I'll have Albert send you more details on what's going on."

However it unfolds, this is a great opportunity to meet the writers of many key Blue Öyster Cult songs, not to mention Dennis Dunaway, a storied and prolific rock maven in his own right.
