hot flashes news glyder

Ireland's GLYDER have issued the following update from guitarist Bat:

"Hi folks,

The third Glyder album is on the way!!! We go to the studio the last two weeks in April and hope to have the album out for the summer.

The third Glyder album will be called Yesterday, Today And Tomorrow, the tracks at the moment are as follows - titles, running order, etc subject to change:

1. 'That Line' (Modern rock meets retro rock)

2. 'One Of Us Is Gonna Go Down' (Most modern sounding Glyder track to date, Drop D tuning, very catchy)

3. 'Always The Loser' (A swinging Shuffle , a little like Bad Company meets Lizzy)

4. 'Yesterday, Today And Tomorrow' (Sublime and epic classic rock)

5. 'Knockout' (In your face classic rock, Lizzy meets AC/DC, sounds like could have been on the debut album)

6. 'Make A Change' (Punchy modern rock with retro riffage)

7. 'A Lifetime To Kill' (Laid back Americana feel, not the usual Glyder sound probably will be acoustic if it makes the album)

8. 'Innocent Eyes' (Catchy modern rock sound, still work in progress, Davy's songwriting debut!!)

9. 'They Call Me Strong' (Swaggering retro rock, a little the Stones, Eagles meets Motörhead with Bo Diddley style groove)

10. 'Dreams' (Proggy rocker, work still in progress)

11. 'Untitled' (Led Zepp style rocker with some great riffs, work still in progress)

12. 'The People' (Rework of the track from the debut EP, for possible inclusion depending if it fits the feel of the album)

13. 'Look Out Cleveland' (Cover of the song by The Band, maybe a bonus track for the US Release)

We will probably record 13 and choose the 10 that fit the best together. Two of the songs were already recorded in January so we could get a feel for the studio and the guy we were working with. We will be producing ourselves and after the great response from the EP Weather The Storm we are very confident that it will seriously rock.

We are very creative at the moment, the music is flowing and the inspiration is there in abundance. We decided to leaving touring on hold until later this year to concentrate on what we believe will be our breakthrough release.

There is a lot of variety in the style of the songs but thats just the way it is with Glyder. We are a band that are very much in touch of the world around us. We never got sucked into the whole rock and roll lifestyle and we remain very much on ground level and in the songs deal with our experiences of our everyday lives in Ireland and also capture the vibes of some of the great places we have been on tour. We has a busy touring schedule last year but we decided to take a break until later 2009 to make this a great album and that we will prove to the world that we are the among the best new songwriters out there. I'm very confident that the songwriting is our best to date. Its an unbeat album and has the same positive energy as the debut.

We will have a world wide release this time so Glyder will be available in the USA for the first time.

More details to follow in the coming weeks,

Keep rockin, Bat."
