FAITH NO MORE Announcement Creates Massive Traffic At Download Festival Site

Last week it was announced that the reformed FAITH NO MORE are the third headliner revealed for the 2009 Download festival, scheduled for June 12th - 14th at Donington Park in in Leicestershire, England.

Organizers have since issued the following update:

"Oh my god, you nearly broke the internet!

We've recently seen the highest traffic figures ever in the history of www.downloadfestival.co.uk! The highly anticipated and much talked about announcement on Monday, March 2nd, confirming that Faith No More as one of our 3 headliners, generated 100,000 visits to the website and over 900,000 page impressions throughout the day. This staggering figure is testament to the dedication and loyalty of the Download fanbase, who continue to shape the face of the festival, which now enters its seventh year."

On February 24th, 2009, Faith No More announced they would be reforming for a European tour with a lineup identical to that at the time of their dissolution:
