Sony Scoops MediaGuardian Award For AC/DC Excel Spreadsheet

According to Musically.com, the digital services team at Sony Music UK won a prestigious MediaGuardian Award for Innovation last night (March 24th)for its work on the AC/DC Excel spreadsheet video released last year to promote the band’s new album.
The video turned the song’s actual video into an ASCII animation viewed inside an XLS doc. It was up against Honda’s famous live skydiving TV ad, and a home office anti-gun and knife crime campaign. “We spent about 0.005% of the cash that the others did,” Sony’s Daniel Ayers said.
