Yellow Ape Productions reports:

Connecticut hard rockers EMERALD MONKEY have submitted three new songs to the soundtrack of Jim Haggerty's Witchmaster General – the much-anticipated debut of L.A. GUNS lead singer Phil Lewis, which has been scored by brilliant instrumentalist Michael Keller. This is not the first time Emerald Monkey or Keller have worked on a soundtrack for cult film-maker Jim Haggerty.

“Jimmy D (singer/songwriter for Emerald Monkey) gave us two tunes that we used in my last film Grave Danger,” Haggerty says. “They went over great and really captured the vibe of the audience, so when Jimmy said he wanted to be involved with ‘Witchmaster’ I was only too thrilled.”
“As far as Mike goes, he’s really my go-to guy when it comes to music,” says Haggerty. “He’s done the music for most of my films and his own albums are really impressive - though I must say this time he outdid himself. The ‘Witchmaster’ score is this big, swooping, orchestral masterpiece; it really gives the film some gravity.”

Yellow Ape Productions recently announced the premiere of Jim Haggerty's Witchmaster General, to be released April 20th at a gala premiere at the Bellmore Theater in Long Island, New York - the night after L.A. Guns rock Long Island playing their classic album Cocked And Loaded in it's entirety at the Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale. Phil and many of the cast will be in attendance to see this exciting new movie in it's big screen debut.

Alongside Lewis in the film are B-movie scream queen Suzi Lorraine, Vic Martino of The Sopranos, Tatyana Kot, Charlie Parshley, and gorgeous Playboy Playmate Colleen Marie, who also makes her film debut.

Lewis plays Dr. Gorgon, a charming but sinister witch-doctor who uses his evil powers - as well as his close personal relationship with Satan - to run a sort of 'murder-for-hire' business. A tough-as-nails cop (Martino) and the county coroner (Bud Stafford of Grave Danger) are hot on his trail, but are no match for the power he possesses or the evil he unleashes upon them.

"The film is a nice mix of great old-fashioned haunted house horror and all the sex, violence, and dark humor we've come to expect these days," says filmmaker Jim Haggerty of his fourth feature film. "It's kind of like an old Vincent Price movie on acid."

As a longtime fan of L.A. Guns, Haggerty is extremely delighted to have the opportunity to work with one of his musical heroes. "I have always been such a fan of Phil in L.A. Guns. He was - and really still is - such an exciting performer with such great charisma and talent on top of an amazing voice. He really was the right man for the job and it was an honor and a pleasure to work with him on this - I'm already writing the sequel!"

Information on pre-ordering the DVD can be found here.
