The fact that IRON MAIDEN arrived on a private plane and did not exit Jorge Chavez Airport through standard exit points has not discouraged fans in Peru one bit.
They enthusiastically gathered at the airport geared up in Iron Maiden attire and showed their love and support for the English heavy metal band.
This fervor can also be appreciated when observing the masses of people gathered outside Lima's Estadio Nacional waiting for the concert to begin.
For the first time in Peru, fans have camped outside the National Stadium awaiting a concert, reported El Comercio daily. Tents could be seen set up around the stadium on Wednesday evening.
Stating that many fans are missing school and taking a day off work, the daily said that people had come from as far as Cusco and Bolivia.
It was reported that concert organizers will open the stadium's doors at two this afternoon in preparation for tonight's show.
