Following in the tradition of NAPALM DEATH's The Scum Story and CARCASS' The Pathologists Report, Earache now announces CATHEDRAL's turn with the Return To The Forest documentary. Part of the limited edition of Cathedral's megalithic doom opus Forest Of Equilibrium, which though originally released in 1991 is still recognised as a landmark of the doom scene. Packaged in a deluxe digipak with amazing artwork and a double sided poster featuring Dave Patchett's cover artwork in all its glory plus four bonus songs from the long-deleted Soul Sacrifice EP.
Return To The Forest is a brand new, 40-minute documentary with key early band members including long standing core duo (vocalist) Lee Dorrian and (guitarist) Garry Jennings, plus an interview with famed cover artist Dave Patchett. Featuring in-depth discussion of the formation of the band and the recording of the classic debut album, Return To The Forest was filmed in Coventry in 2009 and features the following ten chapters: Lee & Napalm, Getting Together, Inspirations, Choosing A Name, The Artwork, Early Shows, Speed, The Start Of Something, Getting Signed, 'Ebony Tears' Music Video.
