Magna's Belinda Stronach Talks About KISS' GENE SIMMONS - "He's A Businessman At Heart And A Very Compassionate Individual"

As previously reported, KISS legend Gene Simmons recently relaunched his dormant Canadian label, Simmons Records with Magna auto parts heiress and former Tory/Liberal MP Belinda Stronach, and Universal Music Canada.
"It is a bit odd," Stronach told Theglobeandmail.com about the partnership between an auto-parts heiress and a rock star known for his cartoonish make-up and outlandish behaviour. "But he's a great guy. He has his public persona - his Kiss persona - but he's a businessman at heart and a very compassionate individual."Simmons says he wants to sign three new acts the first year. "We intend on launching them from Canada and then worldwide," he says. "I'm looking for the next U2 and LED ZEPPELIN. The only thing that matters is ‘Do you have the goods?' It's not enough to be (just) a band.”
